SECOND ANNUAL WINTER ART CRAWL!

Submitted by Jen on December 29, 2009 – 10:42 pmNo Comment

Crawl downtown Chatham with local artists this January 23rd for the Second Annual Winter ARTcrawl! Join us in celebrating the birth date of influential artist Eduoard Manet. This is going to be a fabulous and fun evening so mark it off your calendars today!

The evening will begin at ARTspace with the opening of New Works by Exhibiting Members and cocooning, a window installation by Kelly Ridley. Beginning at 6 pm, Ridley will be in the window knitting herself into a cocoon. Snacks and a hot apple cider will be provided to keep you warm on the walk at 7 p.m. to William Street Café.

At the William Street Café, groove to the music of Sarah Hiltz and view the great local artwork that is always on display at the Café. Purchase one of your William Street Café favourites or a cup of the evening’s special hot drink to keep you warm on the 8 p.m. walk to the Thames Art Gallery.

At TAG, enjoy the tunes of the Chatham-Kent Mountaineers and check out the newest Community Arts Initiative, In the Manner of Manet. Toronto artist Laura Moore will be on hand to talk about her art exhibit Kernel Memory. There will also be snacks and a cash bar where you can purchase another featured hot beverage for the evening.

No tickets are needed. We look forward to seeing you there! Don’t forget to dress warm and be ready to walk! The opening reception events are free and open to the public.
