The Thames Art Gallery is thrilled to offer a Waterless Lithography workshop as part of their Spring Exploring the Arts session.  This is an exciting opportunity to break in the new litho press!

This workshop is an introduction to the art of Waterless Lithography. Participants will gain critical skills in the areas of mark making, image development, planographic print processing, printing, and critique. Participants from all artistic backgrounds and skill-levels will enjoy this new and exciting print method.

Waterless lithography allows a cleaner, crisper image as compared to traditional printmaking and, in keeping with the Thames Art Gallery’s mandate to offer ‘green’ processes, no hazardous wastes are generated.  For the first class, participants will print with black ink only in order to focus on line, tone, and space.  The remaining five classes will progress at each participant’s own pace.

Join our favourite printing instructor, Marshall Heaton, for this exciting six-week course.  No previous experience is necessary.  All materials are provided.  The cost is $150, and runs on Thursday evenings from 6pm – 9pm, January 14, 21, 28, February 4, 11, & 18.

Spots are limited.  To reserve your spot, please visit the Cultural Centre at 75 William Street North, call 519-354-8338, or go on line at www.cktickets.com.

Hello, I am trying to get a hold of Marshall Heaton. I went to school with him in Windsor and would like to connect with him again. I would like to ask him a few questions about waterless litho and printing on a polyester plate??? I think???

Thank-You for passing this on if you could

    Cheers
