Submitted by Jen on March 5, 2010 – 11:23 amNo Comment

Chatham-Kent author and historian John Gardiner will lead a workshop- style creative writing course focusing on the construction of a personal memoir. Using old photographs and tools like Memory Maps, participants will learn how to put structure to those wonderful memories of years gone by so they can be shared with children, grandchildren and future generations.

Participants should have a basic understanding and knowledge of grammar and spelling. Participants are asked to bring writing materials the first week. Some homework will be required. There is a story in each of us – get your creative side working and tell yours.

This workshop runs Monday evenings from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m, April 12, 19, & 26, 2010, in Studio One of the Cultural Centre.  The cost is $47.25 and includes gst.  Member discounts are available.  To reserve your spot, please call 519-354-8338, come in to 75 William Street North, or log on to www.cktickets.com.
